Across the stars, music unites civilizations. You lead a troupe of alien virtuosos, gathering eccentric musicians to compose and perform breathtaking symphonies. Every performance must match the demands of distant regions, dazzling audiences and patrons with harmony, spectacle, and innovation. Only the conductor who builds the galaxy’s greatest orchestra will rise to fame eternal!

Gameplay

In Philharmonix, players are rival orchestra managers striving to create the most renowned interstellar symphony. Each turn, players place an assistant meeple to choose one of several actions: recruit musicians, go on tour, practice, compose symphonies, or perform symphonies. The strength of the chosen action depends on the number shown beside it, which changes every round across the game’s five rounds. That number also represents the cost, so players must carefully balance how much they spend against how powerful the action becomes.

The heart of the game lies in performing symphonies - you aim to match the right compositions with the right musicians to satisfy the unique demands of each region. Along the way, you recruit eccentric alien virtuosos, build synergies between instruments, and refine your orchestra’s style. Smart planning and efficient use of action points allow you to prepare for the decisive concerts. In the finale, the orchestra that delivers the most compelling and well-matched performances earns the title of the galaxy’s greatest conductor.
