Universe
Lead an alien faction, extend your diplomatic influence across the known universe and seize the galactic senate in this new title by Christian Marinez, the designer of Inis
Gameplay
In Galactic Renaissance, you play ambitious politicians commissioned by their planets to explore and unite the ancient worlds of the Galactic Empire.
Each turn, players perform a series of actions by playing cards from their hand. These actions include sending emissaries to new planets, building institutes to establish a lasting presence, and exploring new sectors of space.
Emissaries are essential for gaining influence and discovering valuable resources. Building institutes earns victory points and expands your galactic network. Exploring new planets and discovering interstellar portals are crucial to opening up new routes and accessing unexplored territories.
Each player must also manage the potential disorder caused by overpopulation of planets and conflicts of interest between factions. Phases of disorder must be resolved by moving emissaries or playing special cards to stabilize affected planets. Managing planet stability is essential to avoid penalties and maintain strategic balance.
The game's objectives evolve over the course of the game, with Objective cards defining the conditions for earning victory points. Players must adapt their strategy to these objectives, while keeping a close eye on their opponents' actions. The game ends when a player reaches or exceeds 30 victory points, triggering the end of the game. The player with the most victory points wins the title of President of the Galactic Senate and leads the Federation into a new era of prosperity.
Will you have the strategy and diplomacy to become President of the Galactic Senate and lead the Federation into a new era of prosperity?
