Universe
One Zero One is heavily inspired by the world of computer programming. The game's central conflict revolves around the binary language of computers, represented by the "0" and "1" cards. The command cards players use mimic concepts found in coding languages, such as delete, replace, and conditional statements. While the mechanics don't truly simulate programming, the theme adds a layer of strategic thinking inspired by digital logic
Gameplay
With identical 16-card decks, each player (as either 0 or 1) plays cards to the program display, endeavoring to gain control of the lines of program code. Control is earned by having the majority of cards in a line. Each line is worth a set number of points. As soon as the program runs, points are tallied and the winner is determined. Most cards have commands which will affect the program. The order and position of cards played by each opponent will have a huge bearing on the outcome, as will the ability of the players to adjust their strategies as the program changes... At the end of the game, points will be awarded to the player who controls each of the program lines. The number of points that are awarded are shown on each program line card (ie: 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 points). In order to win the game, a player must be in control of program lines that give them more total points than their opponent.
